Call for Papers

This call for papers is soliciting submissions for this annual publication schedule. The earlier the submission, the earlier it will be considered. The journal, in a year, publishes articles twice in the months of February and August.

As the Journal employs a rolling submission system, we are also accepting submissions for upcoming years. Submissions to ELTAR-J are entered into the review process as they are submitted. Therefore, the sooner a paper is submitted, the sooner notification regarding acceptance can be made, and the sooner accepted papers can complete the review and editing process.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Classroom-Centered Research
  • Language Teaching Methodology
  • Global Englishes (ELF, EIL, WE)
  • Teacher Identity
  • Teacher Training
  • Cross-cultural Studies
  • Curriculum and Course Design
  • Assessment and Testing
  • Technology in Language Learning
  • Language Learner Needs
  • Professional Development and Reflective Practice

Articles should be written between 5,000 to 8,000 words in length.

As ELTAR-J is committed to publishing manuscripts that contribute to the application of theory to practice in ELT profession, submissions reporting relevant research and addressing implications and applications of this research to the teaching of English as a lingua franca in the Asian regions are particularly welcomed.
